Control Surveys
Establishment of accurate network of control points is fundamental of
all types of surveys. At GES control points are established by
utilising GPS, Total Stations with Automatic Target Recognition or a
combination of both.
Control networks can be installed on green field sites or existing networks can be validated.
Processing is carried out using least squares adjustment for networks & bowditch for Linear traverses: LGO or Liscad
Topographical Surveys /
Engineering Surveys
Topographical & Engineering Surveys can be carried out to meet the
clients specification. We use one second robotic Total Stations with
Auto Lock, GPS & Non Contact Measurement to produce detailed
surveys to the required level of detail which could include drainage
surveys with direction of flow direct services etc. From the surveys
conducted, we can produce cross sections, long sections & digital
terrain models as required by the client. Out put of surveys can be
made available in the following formats: AutoCad, PXF & DWG,
liscad, PDF, Microstation DGN, Text Files & Land XML Files.
Railway Surveys
Rail Surveys can be carried out by staff holding PTS Certificates and
can include the following services: Detail Topographical Surveys,
Drainage Surveys, Setting Out, Monitoring Control Instillation and
Verification Surveys are carried out using Total Stations, GPS &
Non Contact Measurements.
Volumetric Surveys
From Topographical Surveys, a digital terrain model can be formed to
replicate the ground surface as a three dimensional mesh of triangles.
This can be used to generate graphical contours at specified intervals.
From the original terrain model cut & fill volumes can be computed.
Setting Out
Setting out for all land of construction & railway work can be
undertaken. Sites can be initially set out and periodic visits can be
undertaken to monitor progress and quality on instillation on
completion of all construction as built surveys can be carried out to
be included as part of the clients quality control procedures. As
builts of all set out points will be carried out by GES as part of
their normal quality control procedure.
Monitoring Surveys
Monitoring Surveys can be carried out on new or existing structures
that can be subject to settlement or subsidence resulting in structural
movement. Surveys can be carried out utilising Total Stations, GPS and
Precise Digital Levels with Invar Bar Code Staves in order to monitor
movement on a regular basis over the clients required period of time.
